Where the Outdoors Doesn't Monopolize Beautiful Sights: Galleries and Museums in Jackson Hole
Jackson Hole galleries are building quite a reputation for themselves. Outsiders may
not think that Jackson museums and Wyoming galleries could hold their own with the
likes of those in Sante Fe, New Mexico, or Scottsdale, Arizona, but in fact, Jackson
Hole artists produce some of the most exciting and relevant art in the West. Some
would argue that Jackson Hole galleries can even be mentioned in the same sentence
as New York and San Francisco.
Hence, Jackson Hole has earned the name the "Art Center of the Rockies". Its
collections span the "old masters," such as Frederick Remington and Charles Russell,
to the some of the hottest contemporary pieces being produced in abstract wildlife,
handcrafted weaves and statues, and Native American art.
