Search for real estate in Teton Village.
Teton Village was once just known as the home of the famed Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. That
alone was enough to attract millions of visitors a year for snow, sun and some fun. But the
county officials and local real estate folks wanted to keep some of the visitors around for
the long haul. And to that effect, they came up with a plan to do just that.
It began at the end of the 1990s, when many condominium "hotels" sprung up in and around
Teton Village. The purpose of these was to lock visitors into full and fractional ownership
of these condos. Some of these condo developments include the Cody House Condominium, which
was finished in 1999. Then came the "ski-in, ski-out" condos, right off the resort, which
gave vacationers unprecedented access to the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. One such condo
complex is the Teton Club Resort.
With such high-class vacationing such as Teton Village and Jackson Hole, it wouldn't be long
before Teton Village has an influx of luxury condo properties available. The Jackson Hole
Four Seasons Condominium Hotel started the trend, presenting the ultimate in investment in
a second-home or vacation-home property.
As for single home and family homes, Teton Village is not short on them either. Remember,
this is one hot market. Teton Village is a mere few mile drive from downtown Jackson, and is
in the heart of Wyoming ski country. The three main subdivisions in and around Teton Village
are the Jackson Hole Ski Corporation Filings to the south west of the Village base area.
Then there are the old Village homes. And, go figure, there is also the new Village area.
The Jackson Hole Ski Corporation homes are of the ski-in, ski-out variety. One lot of land
alone can run a person nearly $1 million, whereas already built homes can go for more than
double that. Much of that comes from the fact that these homes have been remodeled, or added
to, and they all are very close to some of the best hiking and outdoor activity spots in the
Hole.
If you're expecting more of a bargain, you may not want to look at the old Village, which
was once originally just "the village". We're talking pristine forests surrounding these
properties, and a fair share of quiet and privacy. Some of these homes, closer to the
village, can go for $4.5 million.
The New Village includes the Granite Ridge Town homes subdivision and Moose Creek
condominiums, all of which include luxury amenities and their own chairlift to the
mountain top. You also have significant tourist build up in this area, with the Teton
Mountain Lodge and the Four Seasons Resort Hotel nearby.
